Help your child’s classroom
One of the ways we fulfill the PTO mission is by raising money, which goes right back to you child’s classroom to enrich their learning experience.
Most of our ongoing fundraisers involve shopping or eating: eScrip, Amazon.com, Box Tops for Education, Target, Safeway, and Albertson’s.
We really, really, really encourage you to sign up with eScrip.com, which is also Safeway’s frequent shopper program. It is “easy money” as they say, and one of our best fundraisers. While it’s great for any of you who are Safeway shoppers, you can link your credit and debit cards and other store cards as well. Just go to eScrip.com, link up your cards, and choose Khalsa Montessori Schools as the beneficiary. You’ll be fundraising the rest of the year with ease!

Other opportunities
- Tax/fund Credit: Save more than you give, while you can benefit yourself and Khalsa Montessori Students. You can pay $400 ($200 if single) in state taxes to the Khalsa Montessori School in support of the Khalsa Elementary School Activity Fund. You need not be associated with the school to reap the benefits! If I donate $400, can I actually save more than $400 by saving on both my state and my federal tax returns? Yes, every dollar gifted is taken directly off your state income tax bill or refunded back to you if you do not owe additional taxes. Then, you may also deduct your tax-deductible donation on your federal tax return reducing your federal taxes. You do save more than you give! More info»
- Are you a member of Arizona Federal Credit Union? If so, you have the chance to raise $50 for the PTO. Members who volunteer at least 25 hours to the PTO qualify for a $50 donation to the PTO. More info»
- Many companies such as Freeport-McMoRan and non-profit organizations will contribute money if you donate your time to an organization, or matching funds. Be sure to ask your employer or HR department if any program exists.
